Fredericton’s 2016 National/International Parks & Trails Day celebration

You are invited to attend and participate in the Fredericton’s 2016 National/International Parks & Trails Day celebration. This year the event is scheduled for Saturday, 04 June 2016, location is Officer’s Square Park starting at 1000 AM. The Trails Coalition will be hosting the Fredericton area’s parks and trails user groups with some preliminary events such as a bicycle rodeo with mechanical safety checks and a guest speaker before folks hit the Trails for a celebratory ride.

The event’s theme will be “Movement in the City” as applicable to City commuters and recreational users of the City’s trails, paths and roadways. Enforcing safety practices and a share the road and trail ethos will be the central theme for the event.

The aim will be to elevate the visibility of an active transportation lifestyle with daily trail, park and path usage while enforcing safety practices and advertising the benefits of participating.
