Precision Pilates Studio (in the old Hartt Shoe Factory) is
putting on a Running Mechanics and Injuries Workshop with an open invitation to
CCRR members this Saturday November 26 from 12 to 2 p.m.

They will be discussion about the mechanics of running, why
and how it can cause injuries specific to the back, hips, legs and knees, how
to prevent these types of issues and how to recover from them.  Dr.
Gwyneth DeVries, Orthopaedic Surgeon will participate in the discussion.
She is a foot/ankle specialist, sports medical expert and all-around athlete.

If you have any specific questions in advance, you may
direct them to Precision Pilates through their Facebook page.  There will
be lots of time for Q and A's during the session.

They will have a prize draw for some free classes as well a
discount will be offered to attendees.

This looks like a great opportunity to gain a better
understanding of running injuries; a topic very important to us runners.
